South Korea commits to increasing women’s representation in the areas of national defense, security, peace, and unification policies of the government, including the number female foreign officers at Director level in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Republic of Korea adopted its own national action plan on women and peace and security in 2014, and has been scaling up its efforts to increase women’s participation in peace efforts ever since.
The Republic of Korea (ROK or South Korea) released its second generation National Action Plan on UNSCR 1325 implementation in September 2018.
The Republic of Korea (ROK or South Korea) released its third NAP for the implementation period 2021-2023.
